Stylish, specious and fuel efficient car
The year 2016 will see one more hatchback coming out of Tata Motor’s stable, called Tata Zica, the short form of Tata “Zippy Car.” This car would be launched in the first week of January, 2016. Tata will bring out two versions of this car, 1.2 liter petrol and a 1.0 liter diesel priced modestly between Rs 3.59 lakh and Rs 5.59 lakh, a steal for a car with this much facilities.
This forthcoming car is said to have a total length of 3746 mm and a width of 1647 mm. Its height is expected to be 1535 mm and the ground clearance about 170 mm. The wheelbase will be about 2400mm. This car provides an impressive 242 liters of boot space enough to carry loads for a long weekend trip.
While the 1199cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine will develop 84 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm at 3,500 rpm, the 1047cc, 3-cylinder ‘Revotorq’ diesel engine will develop a maximum power of 69 bhp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 140Nm at 1,800–3,000rpm.
Both the variants have a 5-speed manual gearbox which helps this car to attain a top speed of 150 kmph. The diesel car would return a fantastic mileage of approximately 23 kmpl on highway, 17 kmpl on city driving and an impressive 20 kmpl as the combined mileage. The fuel tank can carry 35 liters of fuel enough to travel around 700 kilometers. Meanwhile, the petrol version would run 18 kilometers with one liter of petrol on highways, 14 kilometers in city and a combine mileage of 16 kilometers. The petrol car can attain the speed of 100 kmph in approximately 18 seconds.
The first sight of this car will impress you by its innovative style, body shape, mesh grille and swept back headlamps. The company calls the new design ‘expressive and exciting’.

The Tata Zica has plush interiors with dual-tone color schemed ‘layered design theme’, customizable air-vents, premium knitted fabrics and few other design elements. The company has also used the interior space quite intelligently so that 5 adults can sit comfortably.
